Award of Merit, 2000 Gold Nugget Design Awards
This residence was designed in response to its local vernacular history (Early California Arts and Crafts). It also emphasizes the drama of its hilly site by using horizontal projections (to emphasize the steepness of the land) and redwood siding (reflecting the surrounding vegetation).
